3M Phil. launches The Scotch-Brite Clean Up Project in West Rembo School

Makati, Philippines3M Philippines launched The Scotch-Brite™ Clean-up Project last June 2012 at West Rembo Elementary School before the start of school as the first part of its Clean Up Campaign series.

Using cleaning tools from the Scotch-Brite™ brand, 3M employees worked hand in hand with school representatives of West Rembo to transform the classrooms and other study areas in the school, leaving it pristine for the school opening.

The Scotch-Brite™ brand’s The Clean-up Project is geared towards transforming select areas in communities into brighter ones via a clean-up activity using the Scotch-Brite™ cleaning tools. Well-known for its effective sponges, scouring and cleaning pads, the Scotch-Brite™ brand line-up also includes cleaning tools for different areas – for floor care, a variety of cloth wipes for cleaning different surfaces and gloves for hand protection.

“Here at 3M, we are dedicated to helping people get cleaner, brighter environments by giving them the necessary efficient and high quality cleaning tools they need. We are very happy to be here at West Rembo Elementary School to help them provide a sparkling clean school to welcome the students in the coming school year,” said Mr. Reggie Pulumbarit, Vice President for Consumer and Office Business, 3M Philippines.

To make the kick-off event even more fun for the participants, the team that was the best in cleaning were also given prizes by the Scotch-Brite™ brand.

The cleaning tools used in the activity, which included everything from outdoor gloves, furniture cloth, mops, mop wringer bucket and a new set of cleaning tools were also donated to West Rembo Elementary School as a thank you for the partnership, helping them to keep their school pristine the whole year.

West Rembo Elementary School is only the beginning for the Scotch-Brite™ brand as its aims to help more institutions in the coming year. The clean-up is not only limited to schools but other important pillars in the community, such as hospitals and charitable organizations.

The Clean Up Project is committed to helping communities all over the country become cleaner and brighter and we hope that more organizations can support us in this endeavour,“ Pulumbarit said.
