Pizza lovers will have a ball on August 15 with free pizzas for diners at California Pizza Kitchen (CPK). August 15 is the country’s first National Pizza Day celebration which also coincides with Global Restaurant Concepts, Inc.’s (GRCI) opening of the first CPK restaurant in the Philippines. To mark the special occasion, CPK will also launch new dishes on the menu on top of a one-day free pizza promo for its diners.
For every regular or thin crust pizza ordered dine-in on August 15, CPK will provide another pizza free from among these bestselling choices: BBQ Chicken Pizza, Pepperoni, Five Cheese and Fresh Tomato, Hawaiian Bacon Pizza or Traditional Cheese. Plus, diners can get refillable Coca-Cola for only P50.
“Personalized Pizzas served in a family atmosphere is our edge over the others,”adds Manuel Zubiri, VP for Purchasing. “We choose only the freshest produce in the market to maintain the quality edge we have. And in 15 years, we are proud to have created 400 jobs for the Filipinos.”
Among the new menu additions that will debut in time for National Pizza Day are Prosciutto Pizza, made with Italian prosciutto with fresh arugula, and mozzarella, shaved parmesan and sliced tomatoes on caramelized thin pizza crust; and the Vegetarian Pizza, a marinara sauce and mozzarella thin crust pizza topped with grilled eggplant, fresh button mushrooms, red onion, sun-dried tomatoes, roasted corn, broccoli, goat cheese, and pine nuts.
CPK will also introduce Lasagna Milanese, Black Seafood Pomodoro, Mu Shu Chicken Calzone and its own Cheese Steak Sandwich made of USDA tender steak strips. For starters, guests can try Fried Mozzarella Sticks, Quesadilla, Spinach with Gorgonzola and the Asian Chicken Wrap.
Guests will also find a new CPK thirst quencher, Fruit Sangria made of chardonnay, mango and orange juices with slices of grapes, green apples and oranges.
