Star Wars Lives On as the Force Awakens in December

11163627_10152894352117956_899447472_oStar Wars has survived through the decades since it premiered in 1977.  Fast forward to 2015 and the fever is still going strong as grandparents, parents, teens and children look forward to the 7th installment of  the Star Wars Saga which will open in theaters on December 17, 2015.

As part of the year-round celebration, IMAX Mall of Asia theater held a live telecast of the much-awaited 2015 Star Wars Convention in Anaheim along with the global Star Wars community last April.  The Star Wars Celebration presented the cast and crew from across the Star Wars saga, plus pop culture personalities, artists, and writers, and celebrities who are Star Wars junkies themselves.  Great questions were asked but most were answered with “we can’t answer that, or we can’t reveal anything at this point. Or just wait and see.” So it was an annoying, pointless Q & A segment.  What made the event worthwhile was seeing the older actors including Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew), Mark Hamil, Carrie Fisher and C3PO.

The Star Wars Panel of the exclusive celebration in Anaheim was shown in only 35 cinemas across 23 countries, including IMAX theater in Mall of Asia.  Star Wars Director JJ Abram and Producer Kathleen Kennedy hosted the event.
