PPO, Phil Madrigal Singers Liven Up Misa De Aguinaldo at CCP

THE Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) holds anew the traditional Simbang Gabi at the CCP, a set of nine dawn masses from December 16 until 24, 2015, 5am at the CCP Main Ramp.

The highlight of this year’s celebration is the “Misa de Aguinaldo” or Christmas Eve Mass on December 24, 8PM at the CCP Main Theater. Our esteemed Philippine Madrigal Singers will again be the mass choir who will also lead the 100-voice chorale, with the symphonic accompaniment from the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra (PPO), in rendering “Carol of the Bells” and Handel’s “Messiah” (Hallelujah Chorus). There will also be an excerpt of “Panunuluyan” before the start of the Mass. It will be officiated by Fr. Mario Sobrejuanite, SSP.

The Simbang Gabi at the CCP is held in cooperation with Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, with various agencies participating as hermanas. Schedule is as follows: December 16 – Philippine Navy, December 17 – CCP Complex Employees’ Organization (CCPCEO), December 18 – Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), December 19 – Manila Broadcasting Company and Star Parks Corporation, December 20 – Harbour Square, December 21 –Design Center of the Philippines, December 22 – Gloriamaris Restaurant and Amazing Philippine Theater, December 23 – Ticketworld, Inc., December 24/5am – Senate Spouses Foundation, December 24/8pm – Cultural Center of the Philippines.
