A group of bloggers, myself included, had a chance to taste the service, dishes, and ambiance of various events. in one lunch date. Last July 12, 2017 at Oasis Manila’s Pavillion, Hizon’s Catering showcased their versatility through a quadruple bash that consisted of a Children’s Birthday party, Formal Wedding, Corporate themed Function, and a Seminar set up. We were able to imagine the feel of being in such events in that one lunch period.
At the seminar event area, the overall feel was casual and business-like as we were greeted with a welcome speech by Joseph Hizon, General Manager of Hizon’s Catering. The no-frills breakfast seminar set-up had a spread of omelette filling choices and a cooking station.
In the festively -decorated children’s party area, we were invited to play along in children’s games to re-create the children’s party atmosphere. Appealing to the child in all the guests was the circus-inspired look of the kiddie party matched by a menu of finger food that suit the palate of tiny tots.
The wedding was formal and featured an extensive buffet of soup, salad, and main course options plus a carving station. A couple in wedding outfits helped create the formal ambiance. To add more to the feel, they even sliced the cake and fed each other while the crowd was teasing them to kiss. Which they obliged.
Finally, we ended at the corporate function area with the announcement of the raffle winner of a catering service for 50 pax. It was all glam at the awards night section where hor d’oeuvres were passed around by waiters and a dessert spread was laid out to the attendees.
All the dishes were whipped up by the kitchen team headed by chef Simon Dayrit. Event styling was by Drew Menor. The four events provided a glimpse of how Hizon’s Catering can make your dream event happen.
Aside from the fact that I enjoy events,. this event was quadruple the fun maybe because this is a party company (not even considering the fact that I was the grand raffle winner). Who doesn’t enjoy a good party or gathering for whatever reason.

“We have really good food,” guarantees Hizon’s Catering General Manager, Joseph Hizon. “We invest a lot in developing the menu, in the preparation of the food, and in our equipment. We make everything from scratch. As part of our culture, we don’t allow instant food and flavorings in our kitchens,” he adds.
The biggest event they’ve handled had a whopping 15,000 guests but they can cater intimate get togethers of 50 persons as well. Menu packages start at P450 per person.
“We take care of everything. Aside from the usual food, tables, chairs and waiter service, we can also handle the amenities. These are the small things that you don’t want to bother with like the bridal car. If you’re looking for a hotel in the area, we can put that in the package too,” shares Joseph.
They have a team of event planners headed by Cheska Pineda and an event planner is assigned to every client to coordinate all the details, even the styling. “We don’t mark-up on it, it’s like an added service,” he points out. Having to deal with just one person lessens the headache and makes all the difference.

Incidentally, Hizon’s is the caterer accredited by the most number of venues in Metro Manila.
